Bequests

Each of us finds different ways to make our mark on the world. One way of doing this is by making a bequest.

A bequest is a gift left in a will. When you leave a bequest to Cara, you give a gift that lasts longer than a lifetime, a gift that will be remembered for future generations.

Your gift will provide a lifetime of opportunity for children and adults with a disability and ensure they have a full and rewarding life.

How to include Cara in your will
We suggest you use the following wording:

I give and bequeath xx percent of my estate to Cara (ABN 22 813 645 129) registered office 98 Woodville Road, Woodville SA 5011, for its general purposes and declare that the receipt of an Executive Office at the time shall be sufficient discharge of my executor's duty.

Memorial giving

Many people choose to honour departed family and friends by making a gift to Cara in their memory.  You can remember loved ones at the time of the funeral - a thoughtful and meaningful way to express sympathy to the bereaved family.  Or you may like to remember someone on the anniversary of their death, or on their birthday or at Christmas or just any time.

By creating an In-Memoriam gift to remember someone special, you are providing Cara with the opportunity to meet the growing demand for disability accommodation across the state.  

You can make an In-Memoriam donation to Cara online, or you can request attendees at the funeral of your friend or loved one to make an In-Memoriam donation at the service.

If you choose to collect donations at the funeral, Cara will provide special In-Memoriam envelopes for attendees to make their donations. Please contact the Fundraising Manager, Maureen McKinnie on 8347 4588 to arrange delivery of the envelopes.
