Westfield South Australia has been a supporter of Cara since 2007. In this time Westfield and its staff, retailers, suppliers and contractors have worked together with community groups to renovate and refit a purpose built childrens respite house at Park Holme and continue to be involved in volunteer projects across Cara.
Cara has been fortunate to benefit from the generosity of Hills Industries and its Staff Charitable Fund. In 2008 the group funded an upgrade of our Magill childrens respite service garden and most recently our Christies Beach childrens respite house. In both cases the gardens were transformed with a series of fantastic new play areas including state-of-the-art playground equipment and a sensory garden.
Nicknack was creatively responsible for rebranding Cara in 2007. Since then Nicknack has been a key supporter providing a tremendous amount of in-kind design and creative work. Most recently, Nicknack, along with Spirit Films created three 30 second television commercials to illustrate what Cara does and how disability support changes lives.
Cara has been chosen as one of five charities to benefit from the newly established Qantas Employee Volunteer Program in South Australia. Volunteers from Qantas can support children on Camps for Kids, participate in fundraising activities and assist with renovation and garden projects at accommodation and respite houses.
